English bit
Hello Foreigner! As you have probably noticed, the complete website is in Dutch. I’ve started my own business in January 2009 which is why the site now functions more as a business website rather then only my personal portfolio. And because most of my clients are Dutch and I don’t want to scare them away with an English website, I chose to do the new site in Dutch. I think most of the navigation and heads are pretty clear because the words quite look alike. But, because the website used to be in English I feel like I should offer at least a bit of explanation and information in English.
About me

My name is Kars Kremers and I’m a 22 years old student and designer from Mijdrecht, Holland. My interest in the internet started in 2004 when I build my very first website. Together with Jorrit Groenevelt I build the design platform Scratch Design in 2005 with about 200 members. It got too quiet at the end of 2006 and we decided to pull the plug. My experience in the area of graphic and web design grew over the years by reading a lot of books and articles by well respected designers and design studios such as: David Airey, Simon Page, Carsonified en Abduzeedo
At the moment I study Digital Media Design at the HKU to graduate there with a Master of Arts degree. In 2009 I did an internship at multimedia and interaction design bureau Droomlab.
Design Process
Design is not just a pretty picture. It should fit your company and what it stands for, spread a message and be memorable. Your customer needs to be able to identify with it as well. Websites should besides all that be very clear and easy to use.
The process of getting to such a design is different for everyone. But basically there is a first consultation, a concept phase, I’ll go into production and than the end everything that is agreed upon during the consultation will be delivered. Mostly I meet someone at least once in this process, but it has worked perfectly fine over email as well.
To see what kind of things I’ve made over the years please have a look at my portfolio. If anything here has caught your interest or you’d like to know more, please feel free to contact me through the contact form or k.kremers@gmail.com.
